Data protection policy

1. Preamble

This data protection policy applies to the AIRPORT ENGINEER website and its platform MY AIRPORT ENGINEER.

The purpose of this data protection policy is to inform users of the following:

  • How their personal data is collected and processed.
  • What are the rights of the users regarding this data?
  • Who is responsible for processing the personal data collected and processed?
  • To whom these data are transmitted ;
  • The site's cookie policy

This data protection policy complements the legal notice and the General Conditions of Use which users can consult above.

2. General principles for data collection and processing

In accordance with the provisions of Article 5 of the European Regulation 2016/679, the collection and processing of data of the users of the site respect the following principles:

  • Lawfulness, fairness and transparency: data can only be collected and processed with the consent of the user who owns the data. Whenever personal data is collected, the user will be informed that his or her data is being collected, and for what purpose the data is being collected;
  • Limited purposes: the collection and processing of data is carried out to meet one or more of the purposes set out in these General Terms of Use;
  • Minimisation of data collection and processing: only the data necessary for the proper execution of the objectives pursued by the site are collected;
  • Time-limited data retention: data is retained for a limited period of time, of which the user is informed. Where this information cannot be provided, the user is informed of the criteria used to determine the retention period.
  • Integrity and confidentiality of collected and processed data: the data controller undertakes to guarantee the integrity and confidentiality of the data collected.

In order to be lawful, and in accordance with the requirements of Article 6 of the European Regulation 2016/679, the collection and processing of personal data may only take place if they comply with at least one of the following conditions

  • The processing is necessary for the proper performance of a contract;
  • The processing is in response to a legal obligation;
  • The processing is necessary to protect the vital interests of the data subject or of another natural person;
  • The processing may be necessary for the performance of a task carried out in the public interest or in the exercise of official authority;
  • The processing and collection of personal data is necessary for the legitimate and private interests pursued by the controller or a third party.

3. Personal data collected and processed in the context of navigation on the site

The personal data collected on the AIRPORT ENGINEER site and on MY AIRPORT ENGINEER are the following: 

If you are a candidate, the site collects data likely to identify you and to send you the best professional opportunities (job offers) or to enable you to submit your application to one of the advertisements proposed by AIRPORT ENGINEER. For this purpose, we collect only the most relevant information such as your first and last name, full contact details, user name, information relating to your education, your professional experience and your technical skills.

If you are a customer, the site only collects data about you that is useful for communicating with you, such as name, first name, e-mail address, telephone number, company and position. This data is likely to be useful to us in providing our services.

This data is collected when the user performs one of the following operations on the site:

If you are a candidate, this data is collected when you request information via the contact form or when you create your account on the MY AIRPORT ENGINEER platform and when you apply for one of our job offers. By submitting the contact form, the user agrees that the information entered may be used in the context of the information request. By creating an account, the user agrees that the information entered may be used in the context of their job search by any person with an interest in studying their profile. By submitting the application form, the user accepts that the information entered will be used in the context of his/her application for a job offer proposed by AIRPORT ENGINEER.

If you are a customer, this data is collected when you submit the contact form. By submitting the contact form, the user accepts that the information entered may be used in the context of the request for information or the commercial relationship that may result from it.

The data controller will keep all the data collected in the site's computer systems under reasonable security conditions

If you are a candidate, for a period of : 24 months.

If you are a customer, for a period of 10 years.

The data are collected and processed for the following purposes:

If you are a candidate, this data is collected in order to apply for a job offer published on the site or to request information on the services offered by the company.

If you are a customer, this data is collected to respond to any requests for information about the services offered by the company.

2. TRANSMISSION OF DATA TO THIRD PARTIES

The personal data collected by the site are not transmitted to any third party likely to solicit you directly and are only processed by the site editor.

However, the fact that you apply for a job and provide your contact details and all the data justifying your application is sufficient to demonstrate your interest in a vacancy, in which case this information will be passed on to the potential employer, so that they can judge whether you are suitable for the job.

4. Data controller and data protection officer

2. OBLIGATIONS OF THE DATA CONTROLLER

The data controller undertakes to protect the personal data collected, not to pass them on to third parties without the user's knowledge and to respect the purposes for which the data was collected.

In addition, the data controller undertakes to notify the user of any rectification or deletion of data, unless this would entail disproportionate formalities, costs and steps for the user.

In the event that the integrity, confidentiality or security of the user's personal data is compromised, the controller undertakes to inform the user by any means.

3. THE DATA PROTECTION OFFICER

Furthermore, the user is informed that the following person has been appointed as Data Protection Officer: Franck Pinchon.

The role of the Data Protection Officer is to ensure the proper implementation of national and supranational provisions on the collection and processing of personal data. He or she is sometimes referred to as the Data Protection Officer (DPO).

5. User rights

In accordance with the regulations concerning the processing of personal data, the user has the following rights

In order for the data controller to comply with the request, the user must provide the following information: first name, last name, e-mail address and user name.

The data controller is obliged to respond to the user within a maximum of 30 (thirty) days.

USER'S RIGHTS REGARDING DATA COLLECTION AND PROCESSING

  1. Right of access, rectification and deletion

The user may view, update, modify or request the deletion of data concerning him/her by sending an e-mail to the address: rgpd@airport-engineer.com, specifying the subject of his/her request.

If he/she has one, the user has the right to request the deletion of his/her personal space by sending an e-mail to the address: rgpd@airport-engineer.com specifying his/her user name. The request for deletion of data will be processed within 15 days.

2. Right to data portability

The user has the right to request the portability of their personal data, held by the site, to another site, by making a data portability request by sending an e-mail to: rgpd@airport-engineer.com.

  • Right to limit and object to data processing

The user has the right to request the limitation of or to oppose the processing of his/her data by the site, without the site being able to refuse, unless it can be shown that there are legitimate and compelling reasons, which can prevail over the interests and rights and freedoms of the user.

In order to request the limitation of the processing of his/her data or to formulate an objection to the processing of his/her data, the user must send an e-mail to the address: rgpd@airport-engineer.com specifying the subject of his/her request.

3. Right not to be subject to a decision based exclusively on an automated process

In accordance with the provisions of Regulation 2016/679, the user has the right not to be subject to a decision based exclusively on an automated process if the decision produces legal effects concerning him or her or significantly affects him or her in a similar way.

4. Right to determine the fate of data after death

The user is reminded that he/she can organise what should happen to his/her collected and processed data if he/she dies, in accordance with the law N°2016-1321 of 7 October 2016.

5. Right to refer to the competent supervisory authority

In the event that the data controller decides not to respond to the user's request and the user wishes to contest this decision or if he/she believes that one of the rights listed above has been infringed, he/she is entitled to refer the matter to the CNIL (Commission Nationale de l'Informatique et des Libertés, www.cnil.fr) or to any competent judge.

6. Use of "cookies" files

The site may use "cookie" techniques.

A "cookie" is a small file (less than 4 kb) stored by the site on the user's hard drive, containing information about the user's browsing habits.

These files enable it to process statistics and information on traffic, to facilitate navigation and to improve the service for the user's comfort.

The site editor reserves the right to make changes to ensure compliance with current law.
